Bemz | Post by Ollie & Sebs Haus

Recently, I haven’t really been loving our sofa.  Its a pretty generic sofa that you will find at Ikea and after a few years I have sort of fallen out of love with it. Ideally I would replace it with something a little more bigger and will continue to desire this sofa or this.  For the time being I need to think of some solutions. I have went down the changing covers route, but its a complete pain taking the sofa apart and it still pretty much looks the same. I need something different. My solution, Bemz… I have heard of them before but haven’t really looked much into it, and now I cant stop thinking about the urban loose fitting covers in either white or medium grey.

We transformed a sofa twice running thanks to Bemz. The quality is outstanding and the customer service is second to none. Sadly we lost our sofa (long story) before we could try out the Urban Fit linen slips, but that choice would have been our sofa’s third iteration…all the samples I ordered were lovely.

Thank you! It’s always good to hear other peoples experiences, as the covers aren’t that cheap! I want to make sure what I am getting is good quality and is really going to give my sofa a magical makeover :)

If you’re still reading comments…I just got an email this morning that Bemz has a new collection: Respect. Recycled cotton yarns from clothing manufacturing. The fabrics look lovely…muted and durable. Could be what you’re looking for (although I really do love the Urban Linen fit).

Also know that once or twice a season Bemz launches its outlet…half off all covers in that shop. I once saw an Urban Linen cover in midnight blue (yum).

Hi Deborah, I have been very happy with my light grey Bemz cover (for my Ikea Soderhamn sofa) and I’m not getting paid to say this :-) I especially like the fact that the fabric I chose (panama cotton) is rather smudge resistant so if I rush to get a wet towel I don’t need to kill my boyfriend (and in your case your kids hehe) everytime he spills something ;-) That seems like a valuable asset in a white cover! I would suggest that you order a (free) sample first because the colour I chose turned out a little lighter than in the photos, unless you decide to go with white of course :-)

PS: Sorry it seems that the best photo I’ve put online is this one:

Thank you for posting a picture of your sofa cover! it looks great…

And thank you for letting me know your experiences with the company. Its great to know that the quality of the covers are good and can easily be cleaned, especially with little hands. I have ordered five different samples of linen fabric so hopefully from that bunch I can find something I like. :)
