A home up for sale on Fantastic Frank, giving me lots of inspiration. Love the soft beige colour for my room, the floors which we have in our room will be carried on from the boys room, long draping curtains and that concrete kitchen wall. We replaced a few things in our kitchen, but I have so much still I would like to update, one of them being taking away the tiles and trying to concrete the wall myself. Has anyone got experience doing this? Am I better getting in the professionals than being under the false illusion I can do it myself!

Concrete is very soft. Either use a vertical form to hold it against the wall, or else pour it into a horizontal form and place it vertically after it is hard. Concrete is also very wet, so you’ll need a water resistant or cement backer board. Concrete is also very porous, so it has to be sealed. You might be able to figure out how to do a wall by adapting instructions for countertops, but unless you’re really confident about your methods, I would recommend a professional. It’s a lovely wall, though. But maybe it’s not really concrete?
